Privacy policy
Last updated August 2026
This policy explains what Salt Lake Back Office collects, why, and what happens to your information. The short version is below and the detail follows.
Who operates this site
Salt Lake Back Office is operated by David Van Wagoner, a Utah sole proprietor. References to Salt Lake Back Office, I, or me in this policy mean David Van Wagoner.
The short version
Your financial data stays on your own computer, under your own accounts. I do not host it, store it, or hold your logins.
The only personal information I keep is what you send me through a form or an email so I can reply and do the work.
I do not sell your information and I do not run advertising trackers on this site.
Your financial data
The systems I install run inside the Claude desktop app on your machine, connected to your own QuickBooks, payment processor, and other accounts. Those connections belong to you.
Salt Lake Back Office does not host or store your financial records. I do not hold your banking or payroll credentials. I never ask you to hand over a login, and you should refuse anyone who does.
You can revoke any connector access yourself, directly in the tool that granted it, in about two minutes. That removes my ability to see anything without needing my involvement.
What I collect
When you submit the audit form or the contact form, I collect the details you enter: your name, business name, email, phone, and whatever you write about your business. When you email me, I keep that email.
This site uses privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics that count page views and measure loading speed. It does not use advertising cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you across other sites.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no cookie consent banner to click through. The analytics I use are aggregate and do not identify you.
How I use your information
I use what you send me to reply to you, prepare and deliver the work you asked for, and keep records of our engagement. That is all.
Who I share it with
I do not sell your information and I do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
A small number of service providers help me run this business: an email provider to send and receive mail, and a hosting and analytics provider for the site. They process information only to provide those services.
How long I keep it
I keep form submissions and correspondence for as long as needed to respond and to keep reasonable business records, and then I delete them. You can ask me to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the personal information I hold about you. Email hello@saltlakebackoffice.com and I will handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes, I will update the date at the top. Material changes will be clear on this page.
